Artist's Comments

Taking after Theo, I've decided to try my hand at ruining my eyes by painting in 3D.

if you dont know how to do this already, dont strain your eyes to try and see it! the payoff really isnt that great & I don't know if the eyestrain is worth figuring out how to do this well...although it was exciting to try.

This is soooo cool! :D
Congratulations! For the cross eyeing movement that this probably will generate and for the picture, which is beautiful :+fav:

I'm not sure what you mean, is it like those 3D pictures that you have to look beyond the canvas?

either i'm too tired, or it's too small...

Hold tight in your grasp all the knowledge you can reach
For in your time will it illuminate your path
No matter how dark the night and bleak the times
On the morrow will it shine once more
On those who seek its radiating light

I think they're too close together for it to work for me. But it's still really cool. :3

That's awesome! I love messing around with faux 3-d stuff, but I haven't found an actual use for it yet.

Apparently, your pic is of the "cross eyed" type, while the "wide eyed" type is the most popular as far as I know; for me, I'd prefer if you made pics of the second type, as they seem to be less straining for eyes; but on the other hand, I suppose that you made your choice this way because the first type is easier to view for people whose eyes aren't yet twisted by addiction to "stereograms"? ;)
