Artist's Comments

trying to make environments that the viewer can walk into, also making a conscious decision to create lighter compositions.

also experimenting with drastically tweaking the original forms into something that supposedly is a little more dynamic and interesting. I posted the original version of this sketch here:

feel free to let me know if you like the other one better, I may end up replacing this image with the one posted on my blog.

the one on your blog looks pretty close to me. I really like it, though. It's very realistic, but the colors make it look sort of like a fantasy forest at the same time.

FAQ #81: How can I make links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?
i do think i like the blog one a bit more, i'm afraid. the shapes are nice in both, but the composition feels a bit more sound in the other version, and the rendering even seems a bit tighter. though i do like both. nice colors and you haven't lost any of the edge of your work by lightening it up
wow..that is too good...great work!

Lovely , I'd totally frolick through there :) I think I like the composition with the other one better, since the dark branches right above the entrance draw the eye right up into the path beneath, rather than off the page.
