Nice job man, clean and straightforward. One note I have is the footer that has the link to your blog. I'm not sure if you meant for this, but when you click it, it opens the blog within the footer, and the person on the site has to drag the footer up to see the page. Its a nice way to get both pages within the same page, but some people might not get it. Maybe put a small menu in that would open the blog within the gallery frame, allowing folks to just click back and forth between the two.
It's nice and simplistic. I like it just because it's there for what you want it to be there for and you're not trying to show off all over the page. Nicely done.
Even though I liked how I can open your blog in the window at the bottom like the person above me said it could probably be confusing for inexperienced users.

Here's a suggestion-- run your portfoilo thumbnails vertically alongside the enlarged display. The thumbs are getting cut off by the bottom frame, so it makes browsing a little bit of a hassle. However, you have plenty of vertical space to interact with.
My screen resolution is at 1280 x 800, so that might be the problem... but when I see your website, the main picture gets cut off about 3/4 of the way down. And there's no scroll bar to get to the rest of it.
Im probably going to scale back the images a bit to work with smaller displays--unfortunately I don't quite kno enough coding to change the location of the thumbnails, but I'll probably make a backup java based gallery too incase this one gets errors
