Its not exactly the next "triple-a" title, but its a great studio to work at with friendly, non-egotistical people and an easy commute, so I really couldn't ask for an easier introduction to the world of video-game production, which I've felt I've been kind of a late-bloomer to, compared to alot of my peers.
on another funny note, I found someones personal magic-card art directory here:
[link]
someone is using internet art and creating magic cards from them (for a private project, I suppose). Amusingly, it looks like my art is best suited for dark cards.
this is also amusing because I presented some of those same pieces to wizards of the coast art directors over a year ago and was confronted with issues like "needs to be less sketchy" or "lacks refinement". I'm doing some other card illustration now for an online project, so now after seeing this I'm considering sending out my work to them again!
also to some of the people reading this..you may want to check out the link to see if they've used your art for cards... I already saw Lychi, and Matt Starbuck (a friend from school) in that list.
Once again, I *DONT* think this is a commercial project, because such a thing would be highly illegal, but Its worth keeping tabs on to see where they go with it. I dont think its necessarily a bad thing, because they' are crediting the artists (although I would have liked to have been notified, maybe I was?...). what do you guys think?
Devious Comments
As for the cards thing... If it's something personal I wouldn't mind it too much but man if he was trying to sell it or start some kind of online game with it then it would be bad.
